The major activities for RY2008/09 were:-


Amalgamation of Kuala Lumpur Rotary Charity Foundation (KLRCF) funds.
Club Service

Induction of 8 new members
Community Service

Organised a Charity Dinner Show for Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah and donated RM 100,000 to the Home.
Donated a van for the disabled to Selangor Amal Cheshire Home worth approximately RM 118,000.
Donated approximately RM 202,000 worth of Living & Learning Aids for Handicapped Children, a project brought forward from earlier RY.
Donated 20 wheelchairs to the needy.
Organised 3 Underpriviledged Children Parties.
Provided financial study aid to a child without birth certificate.
Vocational Service

Organised an English Language Carnival for our Rotary Community Corps at Kampung Sungai Lui, Ulu Langat.
Provided Service Awards to the media, viz. The Star Metro and NST Street.
Service to New Generation

Organised ILTS and International Understanding Day for Interact Clubs
Engaged Rotaract Club of Kuala Lumpur’s participation in the English Language Carnival.
Sponsored 2 ex-Rotaractors to be part of the GSE teams for South Korea and United Kingdom respectively.
Sponsored 3 Rotaractors for RYLA.
International Service

Visited RC Deli, Medan, Indonesia, for inspection of ambulance donated earlier.
Visited sister club, RC of Phuket, to renew sister club arrangement.
Joint project with sister club, RC of Phuket, for the outfitting of a library in Phuket.
Participated in Annual Sister Club Golf Challenge at Pulai Spring, Johore, hosted by RC of Raffles City.
Participated in TRF Programmes with 44 members contributing to EREY and 1 for PHF.

Organised fellowship dinners following all Club Assemblies.
Respective member groups organized CNY, Hari Raya and Deepavali fellowship parties.
Organised fire-side chats for new Rotarians.
Recognition at District/Rotary International Levels

RACKL was cited for a) Best Community Service Project and b) Best Bulletin.
English Language Carnival received District Governor’s recognition.
Our Web-page was a runner-up for its category.
Our member PDG Dato’ Jimmy Lim received RI’s Four Avenues of Service Citation
